South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association
Since 1956
The South India Hosiery Manufacturers’ Association, a pioneer association for the hosiery industry in India, was started on 7th December 1956.
The Association was having 106 member at the inception and the member rose beyond 1500 later. The Association was registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Act XXI of 1860), an Act for the Registration of literary scientific and charitable Societies and the Registration number is 6 of 1957 dated 18th March 1957.
The founder President of the Association Janab S.A.Khader, was at the helm of office from the inception to 1968 and thereafter Shri.Mohan P.Kandasamy was the President from 1968 to 2008. Shri.Carona Swaminathan was the President for a short spell and Shri.
Viking A.C. Eswaran continues to be the President since 18.06.2009.
